PHIT Executive Director Greg Maughan will moderate a panel discussion on the business of comedy writing at the University of Pennsylvania on Thursday, November 19 from 6 pm to 7 pm at The Kelly Writers House.  Accompanying Maughan in this discussion will be local Philadelphia comedians and comedy writers Gregg Gethard, Doogie Horner and Meg Favreau (there may be a surprise guest or two as well - but nothing is confirmed).

Join this event, open to the public, for answers to the most pertinent questions in the comedy business today. How do you find outlets to hone material? Where can you go to get published or have your work performed? Is it enough to have funny material? How do you establish your voice and learn where the boundaries of comedy lie? All these questions will be thoroughly hashed out for the audience.

Following the discussion, post panel drinks and snacks will be served.

The event is being held at The Kelly Writers House, a genuinely amazing little place that is always having cultural, writerly events. The host for the evening is Rolling Stone Contributing Editor Anthony DeCurtis. The entire program is supported by RealArts@Penn.

The Kelly Writers House is located at 3805 Locust Walk, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
