Wild and wacky fun, just in time for the holidays, is onstage when Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the hilarious McCarter Theatre/Arena Stage production of Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery running November 27-December 27 at PTC's home, the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by Amanda Dehnert, the ensemble cast features Henry Clarke, Crystal Finn, Adam Green, Ron Menzel, and Matt Zambrano.

Ken Ludwig (Playwright) has had plays and musicals performed in more than 30 countries in over 20 languages. Lend Me A Tenor was nominated for seven Tony Awards, winning two, and was nominated for the Olivier Award as Best New Comedy. He has also won two Olivier Awards, the Charles MacArthur Award, two Helen Hayes Awards, the Edgar Award for Best Mystery of 2012 from The Mystery Writers of America, the SETC Distinguished Career Awards and the Edwin Forrest Award for Services to the American Theatre. His other highly produced shows include Crazy for You, winner of the Tony and Olivier Awards for Best Musical, Moon Over Buffalo, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and Treasure Island. He recently received his third Helen Hayes Award nomination for Tiny Tim's Christmas Carol.
Amanda Dehnert (Director) directed the original production at Arena Stage and McCarter Theatre. Her other regional credits include The Two Gentlemen of Verona: A Rock Opera for Shakespeare Theatre Company, All's Well That Ends Well, Julius Caesar and Into the Woods for Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Richard III for the Public Theatre mobile Shakespeare unit, and Cabaret for the Stratford Festival. She has served as both associate and interim artistic director at Trinity Repertory Company where she directed over 20 productions.
Henry Clarke (Dr. Watson) has appeared in several productions at Shakespeare & Company, including A Midsummer Night's Dream, Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, and Richard III. Other regional credits include Private Lives at Hartford Stage, Venus in Fur at American Conservatory Theatre, and No Man's Land at American Repertory Theatre. On television he co-starred in House and Lie to Me and guest-starred on PBS in Brush Up Your Shakespeare.
Crystal Finn (Actress 1) has appeared in several productions at Clubbed Thumb including 16 Words Or Less, La Brea, and Luther. Other regional productions include Fairfield at Cleveland Playhouse, Rich Girl at both George Street Playhouse and Cleveland Playhouse, A Thousand Clowns at Two River Theater, and The Cherry Orchard at Trinity Repertory Company.
Adam Green (Actor 1) appeared Off-Broadway in Election Day and All This Intimacy, both at Second Stage, and in None of the Above at Lion Theatre. A Connecticut Critics Circle nominee for Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night, he is a two-time Helen Hayes nominee for Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Cliton in The Liar, a performance which earned him the Emery Battis Award. Regionally he is a frequent presence at McCarter Theatre and Washington Shakespeare Theatre and has appeared at La Jolla Playhouse, Hartford Stage, Arena Stage, and Alliance Theatre.
Ron Menzel (Sherlock Holmes) has starred in Outside Mullingar and Fair Game at City Theater and In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play) at South Coast Rep. He has been featured in numerous productions at Guthrie Theatre, Minnesota Shakespeare Project and Geva Theatre. His television credits include co-starring roles on Forever and Numb3rs.
Matt Zambrano (Actor 2) has appeared in leading roles in Peter and the Starcatcher, Loves Labours Lost, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Scapin, all at Utah Shakespeare Festival. He has also been a frequent guest at Denver Center Theater Company, appearing in The Santaland Diaries, The Liar, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, and Twelfth Night.
Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery reunites the original design team from the McCarter Theatre production: set designer Daniel Ostling, costume designer Jess Goldstein, co-lighting designers Philip S. Rosenberg with Joel Shier, sound designer Joshua Horvath, and wig designer Leah J. Loukas.
PTC's 2015-2016 season continues with the East Coast premiere of Exit Strategy, a new play by rising Chicago playwright Ike Holter, co-produced with Off-Broadway's Primary Stages (January 29 - February 28); Sex with Strangers by Laura Eason, a co-production with George Street Playhouse (April 8 - May 8); and the East Coast premiere of Hillary and Clinton by Lucas Hnath (May 27 - June 26).
The season will also feature a special one-night only performance of On Beckett on December 14 at 7PM, written and performed by the incomparable Bill Irwin.
