The 18th Philadelphia Film Festival presented by the non-profit Philadelphia Film Society, is seeking entries and submissions for their upcoming March 26 - April 7, 2009 programming. The deadline for submissions for the 18th Philadelphia Film Festival is December 31, 2008.
The Festival is seeking all genres - features, shorts, animation, experimental and documentaries in film and/or video format. Only films completed in late 2007 or 2008 will be eligible for submission. All entries must include a completed entry form, the non-refundable entry fee and at least one review copy of the film in DVD format.
“The Philadelphia Film Festival prides itself on being one of the largest and most diverse film festivals on the East Coast,” explained Festival Artistic Director Raymond Murray. “We are constantly looking for unsolicited submissions from national and international filmmakers. Opening ourselves up to a greater talent pool keeps our festival schedule fresh and innovative.”
This is an opportunity for veteran filmmakers, novices, new talent, and unheard voices to have their work displayed at one of the foremost festivals in the United States. Any number of titles may be submitted by an entrant; however, each title must have its own separate entry form, review copy and entry fee. Fee waivers can be negotiated upon request.
