THURSDAY: STAND-UP

Doors @ 7pm, Show @ 8pm

A fantastic night of comedy, competition, and twisted thoughts - mixed with auctions and donation pleas, in three acts:
Act I - The Showcase (8-10pm): featuring some of Philly's top comedians The Showcase let's stand-ups like Aaron Hertzog, Doogie Horner, Luke Giordano, John Kensil, Bing Supernova, and Fastball Pitcher Bob Gutierrez do what they do best... tell jokes.
Act II - The Contest (10pm-10:30pm): At precisely 9pm a collection of surprise contestants will be given boxes that contain rules for the all-new material they must premiere in 60 minutes. Who will get the ventriloquist dummy? Who will only be allowed to talk about airline peanuts? Come to the show to find out. The winner of the contest will get to open for a major comedian appearing at PHIT soon.
Act III - Stay With Me: The Dark Side of Comedy (10-11:30pm): Watch lovable Philadelphia comedians work out their most daring, out-of-character, and dark yet hilarious thoughts as the night grows later. Be warned, this show is not for the easily offended or incensed.

FRIDAY: SKETCH
Doors @ 7pm, Show @ 8pm

For our second night of comedy we'll have lots of prizes to give away for people coming in the door, pleas-a-plenty for more of your hard-earned cash with a 50/50 raffle, auctions of books/tickets/experiences with local comedy stars, and, of course, more great comedy! PLUS: You can be the star of the show (details below).
Act I - The Showcase (8-10pm): catch your favorite sketch comedy groups including Secret Pants, Camp Woods, Animosity Pierre, Second Place Champions and more as they perform their favorite sketches.
Act II - You're The Star Of Your Favorite Sketch! (10pm-11pm): That's right, this part of our show will consist of YOU and your friends performing any sketch from any of your favorite groups (think SNL, Kids in the Hall, Human Giant, etc.) for our panel of discerning judges. All participants will be graded on remembering their lines, crowd response, and originality of their performance. Great prizes for the winners! To signup email contact@phillyimprovtheater.com (or just reply to this message) with the names and email addresses of everyone in your group who is performing, and the title of the sketch you will be doing. We'll confirm with you this as soon as possible.

SATURDAY: IMPROV
Doors @ 7pm, Show @ 8pm

For our final night we'll really raise the bar - with interspersed events and competition between all four of PHIT's house teams, plus a performance by our all-stars. Afterwards there will be time to meet all the performers and possibly a very exciting announcement!
Act I - PHIT's House Teams (8pm-10pm): That's right, you'll get to see everyone (Activity Book, Everything Must Go, Fletcher, and King Friday) back-to-back-to-back-to-back in a unique event!
Act II - Comedy Themed Quizzo (10pm-11pm): Quiz Mistress Meg Favreau will lead the ultimate comedy knowledge smackdown inside Connie's with fabulous prizes for the first, second, and third place winners. Plus, you get to compete against PHIT's house teams!
Act III - The Moops (11pm-midnight): Philly's all-stars of improvisation hit the stage to close out the night with a fun set that is certain to be a highlight for the evening!

March comes in like a Lion. Tame it with improv classes!

Okay folks, here's the deal. We'll offer the best classes, in the most extensive training program, for the most affordable price in all of Philadelphia... and you'll come and take them. We'll help you master your fear of performing without a net, and make you feel awesome in the process. Whether you just show up to have fun, or charge head-first through the doorway in an effort to appear on our stage - we are excited to have you. PHIT has the largest faculty in Philadelphia - some of whom have major television credits and all of whom love introducing students to the mysterious (and not so mysterious) workings of comedy. Don't pass up a chance to get into class now.
