NEW FRIENDS AND OLD SONGS Opens at The Cabaret Room, 4/4-6

Bucks County's newest entertainment venue is set to open on Friday, April 4 when Michael Moeller Productions begins a new, ongoing cabaret series. The Cabaret Room at Doylestown's Central Bucks Senior Center will feature a full schedule of cabaret performances and special events. Set for two performances, this inaugural show titled "New Friends and Old Songs" will be on Friday, April 4 at 8 pm and Sunday, April 6 at 2 pm.

Following the debut of "Lullaby of Broadway" back in February, Michael Moeller Productions entered into an agreement with the Central Bucks Senior Center to bring New York and Philadelphia cabaret performers in solo and group performances to The Cabaret Room. This brand new cabaret space has been renovated to reflect the style of the big city venues. In a space described as casual and intimate, Michael Moeller promises to bring a wide variety of performers to the Bucks County area. Guests are invited to bring wine and spirits. Beverages and snacks will also be available for purchase prior to showtime.

"New Friends and Old Songs" will feature the music of Peter Allen and Burt Bacharach among others. In this production, Moeller will perform along with Heidi Hayes and accompanist Eric Thompson. Michael Moeller has appeared regionally at numerous theaters including the Walnut Street Theatre, Riverfront Dinner Theatre, Town & Country Players and the Bucks County Playhouse. His extensive directing credits include productions of Mame starring Linda Dano and Anna Stuart, Chicago and The King and I, among many others. As a cabaret singer, Heidi Hayes has traveled the world from Singapore to New York City to Florida and back to Philadelphia. In this area, she has appeared at The Red Room, Society Hill Playhouse and the Gershman Y. Accompanist and performer Eric Thompson is a Philadelphia based vocal and theatre educator who has been seen and heard in numerous productions throughout the region.

"New Friends and Old Songs" will be performed at The Cabaret Room at the Central Bucks Senior Center located at 700 N. Shady Retreat Rd. in Doylestown, PA.
