The tour features leading soloists from such world renown and prestigious State Opera Ballet Theatres as the Mariinsky Ballet Theatre, Kiev National Theater, Perm Ballet Theater, Odessa State Academic Ballet Theatre, and the Almaty State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. In response to demand in major markets in 2017 producers added a third show in the legendary Fox Theatre in Detroit, a second show in the Fabulous Fox Theater in St. Louis, a second performance in Brooklyn's historic and newly restored King's Theatre, and premieres in the "Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and Toyota Oakdale Theater in Hartford. Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker is the only fully produced (One 60' growing Christmas Tree, seven backdrops featuring Russian heritage, 10-foot tall puppets, 40 dancers, and 100 costumes for each of the three tours) national tour of the Christmas favorite. The new backdrops and costumes were hand-made in Russia at a 300-year old theatrical shop that also builds for La Scala and others. Tickets are in high demand and 2017 sales are up by double digits compared to last year at this time. EAST Tour Principal and Featured Dancers include: Iryna Borysova, recipient of Bronze Medal from Ukraine's International Ballet Competition Named After "Serge Lifar" in Kiev, was awarded as Finalist at the Varna International Ballet Competition and Partner Kostyantyn Vinovoy, Laureate of Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition in Ukraine, participated in "The Young Ballerina Festival" in Nagoya, Japan. Veronika Hordina won First Place for her performance of "Halitska Terpsichore" at the International Youth Competition of Choreography in Kiev and Olekseii Potiomkin won Silver at 3rd Istanbul International Ballet Competition; Bronze at International Ballet Competition Kiev and received Diploma of Distinction at International Junior Competition named after Grigorovich.
