Master Illusionist David Caserta To Entertain State Theatre Acting Camp Students ImageLocal master illusionist David Caserta, star of the State Theatre's annual Halloween spectacular Haunted Illusions, will make a special appearance to State Theatre Acting Camp students on Thursday, July 12th in the State Theatre's main hall. There will be two sessions: 11:45 am - 12:30pm for the morning session students and 1:30pm - 2:15 pm for the afternoon students.

Caserta recently appeared on Penn & Teller's Fool Us on the CW Network. After auditioning with several thousand other magicians, Caserta was chosen to perform one of his signature new illusions: "Cutting." It took 2 years of development to come up with an illusion that would test the knowledge of Vegas headliners, Penn and Teller. In March 2017, David flew out to Las Vegas and spent the week rehearsing, filming interviews, and performing in the main showroom at the RIO Hotel. Tickets will go on sale to State Theatre Members August 1st, to the public August 15th. For ticket and membership info visit www.statetheatre.org

About David

David grew up in Walnutport and now considers Nazareth his home when he isn't touring the country performing in his illusion spectacular. When he was just 12 years old, he found a magic shop in downtown Allentown that would teach him private magic lessons. That led him to produce his first large stage show for his high school classmates at Northampton Senior High. He then studied Theater Arts at Muhlenberg College and went on to perform and develop illusions for some of their stage musical productions. www.davidcaserta.com/press

Tickets are $9 and can be purchased at the State Theatre Box Office, by calling 610-252-3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org.
