In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, Irish flautist Sir James Galway brings his Legacy Tour to Philadelphia for a special Verizon Hall performance on March 19 at 7:30 p.m. As one of the world's leading Irish flautists and performers, Sir Galway will be accompanied by Lady Jeanne Galway, (flute), Michael McHale (piano), and string trio, the Galway Chamber Players for a program of traditional Irish songs and popular works by Mozart, Debussy and Bizet.

Hailed as 'the living legend of the flute,' Sir Galway's virtuosity and dedication have earned him millions of fans worldwide, and a reputation as the supreme interpreter of the flute. As with the title of being one of the busiest men in classical music, the 2012-2013 season has Galway appearing all over the world in concert - opening the season with concerts with the Grammy award winning Emerson String Quartet in Ireland and Italy; a tour of the United Kingdom with the Orchestra of St. John's, and onto China for a collaboration with guitarist Xuefei Yang.

Tickets are available for $25-$65, plus applicable service charges, and can be purchased at kimmelcenter.org, 215-893-1999, or at the box office located at Broad and Spruce streets, Philadelphia, Pa. (open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., later on performance evenings).
