Based on the classic Roald Dahl story, this show is a brand new take on his "masterpeach" of a tale. When James (Caroline Borio of Plymouth Meeting) is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way. Catchy new music completes the madcap adventures.
Stage Manager, Emily Moylan said, "This show is unlike any show you'll see this summer." "The music is unique and fun, the characters are quirky; we have puppets, magic, all kinds of animals and insects, and, of course, a giant peach. It's a crazy twist on Dahl's classic tale; you don't want to miss it," she added.
A Summer Stage show is a unique experience. Young Audience members are invited to come early to performances to participate in fun pre-show activities and stay after the show to meet cast members.
