Hugh Panaro & Denis Lambert to Appear in June 26 Gala

Broadway's Hugh Panaro (The Phantom of the Opera, Lestat) and Denis Lambert (Yank!, Broadway's A Chorus Line) will appear with soprano Dorothy Stone in a gala concert of opera and musical theatre at Etcetera Etcetera on Saturday June 26th. Proceeds will go to VoceDoro, an organization dedicated to the study of music and the advancement of vocal training. Tickets are currently on sale at Smarttix.com or Vocedoro.com

The evening will also feature world-renowned countertenor Brian Asawa (Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Seattle Opera), Ellen Rabiner, Katherine Corle, Anna Kirkland, Lou Burgess and will be hosted by Raffael Pacitti.

Dinner is at 6:00pm, the concert begins at 8:00pm, with a dessert reception to follow. Etcetra Etcetera is located at 352 West 44th Street (at 9th Avenue). Tickets are available at www.smarttix.com, www.vocedoro.com. Tickets for dinner and concert are $100. Tickets for concert and dessert reception are $40.

Hugh Panaro starred on Broadway as the Phantom and Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera, Lestat in Lestat, Marius in Les Miserables, Ravenal in Show Boat and Buddy Foster in Side Show. He originated the title role in Martin Guerre, appeared Off-Broadway in LaChiusa's Little Fish and played Bobby in Company at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theater. Recent roles include Fagin in Oliver and Jean Valjean in Les Misearables (Barrymore Award) at Walnut Street Theatre and the title role in 5th Avenue Theater's production of Sunday in the Park with George.

Denis Lambert recently appeared in the Off-Broadway production of Yank!. He made his Broadway debut in A Chorus Line and also appeared in the revival's First National Tour. Other credits include Finian's Rainbow (City Center Encores!), The Producers (1st National Tour/Los Angeles), Carnival! (Kennedy Center), Hello, Dolly! (Paper Mill Playhouse), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Syracuse Stage) and White Christmas (Ordway Center). This summer, he will play Rooster in Annie for Music Theatre of Wichita.

Dorothy Stone is the two time recipient of the Paris Opera AROP career grant and was the soprano soloist at the American Cathedral of Paris for three years and has performed opera, concert and solo recitals throughout France, Italy, England, Greece, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Dorothy has appeared as soloist in the Verdi Requiem with both the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Mansfield Festival Orchestra and Chorus. She has performed an all Verdi Gala concert with the Vratza Philharmonic under Maestro Valeri Vatchev in Vratza, Bulgaria and has been invited annually to perform with the Bulgarian State Opera. Ms. Stone was one of five national laureates selected to represent the United States at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, and was awarded the foreign language prize.

VOCEDORO is a non-profit organization devoted to providing educational and artistic growth opportunities for international vocal artists, establishing and maintaining an extensive library of musical resources and creating performance opportunities for exceptional singers.
