The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater is offering its younger audience members a special treat - just in time for Halloween! What could be more appropriate than a story of kids on woodsy wanderings, a candy house and a witch? It's Hansel and Gretel, of course!

Based on the famous Grimm Brothers fairy tale, this adaptation by Michele L. Vacca will thrill and touch both young and mature audiences. Fairy tale lovers of all ages will be charmed by Hansel and Gretel, delighted by Dizzy and Rasputin, and be amused by Hagatha the Witch!

Directors Cathy Baum of Swarthmore and Michelle Lynn Pascetta of Ridley have assembled a talented cast to bring this classic to life, including: Talia Kaplan and Matthew Prince of Media; John Albert Vavrik, Jr. of Wallingford; Abby Kamen of Wilmington, DE; Ed Sharples of Berwyn; Crystal Buck of Clifton Heights; Trudy Graboyes of Havertown, and Rachel Thomas of Broomall.

Hansel and Gretel runs Sunday, October 9th at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM; Friday, October 14th at 7:00 PM; Saturday, October 15th at 4:30 PM, and Sunday, October 16th at 11:00 AM. All of the Children's Series productions will be performed on The Players Club of Swarthmore's Raymond W. Smith stage on the second floor. Adults are $10.00 each and Children under 12 are $8.00, Cash and Check only. All Children 2 and Under are Free. All Tickets are sold at the door, the day of the performance.

The Players Club of Swarthmore is located at 614 Fairview Road-just off of Route 320 (Chester Road). It's only minutes from I-95 and Route 476 and about a mile from the Swarthmore stop of the R3 Regional Rail line. The theater offers plenty of free off-street parking.
