Front Street Fountain, Media's old-style family diner, continues its support of The Media Theatre's popular summer camp for the second consecutive year. A proud sponsor of Camp Media Theatre 2012-and the theatre's defining quality of educating youth who have an interest in music theatre- Front Street Fountain assists Delaware County's most popular professional theatre in creating a fun, memorable summer camp for youth ages 6 and up.
Camp Media Theatre has five two-week sessions through the end of August. Each session travels on foot from the theatre to the Fountain during the second week of Camp for lunch. "Media Theatre campers and their families have a strong loyalty to businesses and organizations which support our mission," said the theatre's Artistic Director Jesse Cline. "We receive parental approval from each camper and the staff takes the youth on a 'field trip' for lunch over to the Front Street Fountain, where the children are greeted warmly with smiles and a friendly atmosphere."
The Media Theatre campers enjoy lunch in the youngster's reception rooms at Front Street Fountain, complete with a chalkboard for the youth to continue expressing themselves artistically at lunchtime. "Our Camp slogan is "Express Yourself" and with the Kids' Room at the Fountain, we can continue that philosophy," said Cline. "It's a real treat for everyone."
Frank and Patty, Front Street Fountain's mascots, made an appearance during a Camp Media Theatre performance last summer and, most likely, will do so again in 2012.
Camp Media Theatre's two week sessions each have their own theme, such as Dance, Family Musicals, and Rock and Roll. For more information visit www.mediatheatre.org or call 610-891-0100.
