This holiday season, Flashpoint Theatre Company presents its 10th Anniversary performance of "The Santaland Diaries," famed author David Sedaris' real-life story memorializing his time spent as a misguided Christmas elf in Macy's Santaland display. Barrymore Award nominee and Flashpoint alum Keith Conallen takes on this one-man show in the role of Crumpet, Sedaris' lovable, curmudgeonly elf, and brings you another year of vicious laughter and heartwarming holiday spirit.
Renowned as the piece that launched Sedaris' career, this irreverent look at the Christmas spirit and the absurdity of consumerism skewers the sentimentality of the season and brings out the bad Santa in all of us. Haas winner and Barrymore Award nominee Matt Pfeiffer is back for a second season as director, coming off of his recent production of North of the Boulevard. Flashpoint regular Conallen's recent starred in the Wilma Theatre's Under the Whaleback, as well as Flashpoint hits Run, Mourner, Run, skip/shot, and Phoenix.
"Ten Years after our inaugural production, Flashpoint continues to present edgy, poignant, and exciting theater, and has grown into one of the premiere companies in the Delaware Valley," says Artistic Director Thom Weaver. "Keith Conallen delivers the perfect antidote to a painful holiday sweet-tooth, but don't be fooled...even Crumpet has a heart."Videos
