Jewtopia holds the record as the longest running comedy in Off-Broadway History. World of Jewtopia takes Fogel and Wolfson's hit stage play and integrates it with new material, their best-selling book (which led to their appearance on The View), stand up comedy, multimedia, audience participation and projected images to create a comedic extravaganza. It has been hailed by critics all over the country as "Outrageously funny," "Hilarious," and "A heck of a lot funnier than Jackie Mason!" (Los Angeles Times, New York Post, Chicago Tribune).
Bryan and Sam have toured World of Jewtopia for the past year all over the United States and Canada in preparation of bringing it to Broadway in Fall 2010. Their run at the Kimmel Center is their first time ever in Philadelphia!
Video, press, photos and more info is available on their official website: www.jewtopiaworld.com.
The Off-Broadway sensation Jewtopia opened in New York on September 28, 2004, following a 16-month sold-out run at West Hollywood's Coast Playhouse, where it still holds the record as Los Angeles' longest-running comedy. At the conclusion of its off-Broadway run, Jewtopia played 1,079 performances, making it the longest running off-Broadway comedy in New York history. The show has also enjoyed long runs in Chicago, Florida, Toronto, Atlanta and Sarasota.
In November of 2006, Bryan and Sam celebrated the publication of Jewtopia: The Chosen Book for the Chosen People, an over-the-top, four-color, fully illustrated coffee-table book (Warner Books) that led to their appearance on ABC's The View.
In 2010, they will begin production on a feature film inspired by Jewtopia entitled O'Connell and Lipschitz Lose their Religion. Henry Winkler, Carrie Fisher, Larry Miller and both Bryan and Sam are thus far attached to star. Additionally, Fogel and Wolfson have an animated pilot in development, Middletown, and have just completed work on another screenplay entitled Bisbee.
