For the Glory, the Civil War musical in Gettysburg, has finalized casting for the show's summer run, which opens June 17 at the Majestic Theater in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The twenty member cast will feature veteran Broadway performers
Michael Lanning (Broadway and national tour of
The Civil War),
Rob Evan (
Jekyll & Hyde, Little Shop of Horrors, Dance of the Vampires) and
Keith Byron Kirk (
Miss Saigon, The Civil War, The Grapes of Wrath), with emerging director
Vincent Marini at the helm.
"We sought performers who would capture the emotion and struggle of the men and women of the Civil War era," said Marini. "As a result of our three-city audition tour in New York, Washington D.C. and Virginia, we were able to assemble a first rate cast."
Byran Guffey, Joshua Breckenridge, Troy Scarborough, Bryonha Parham, Tracee Perrin, Erin Mosher, Steve Barcus, Michael McKinsey,
Bart Shatto, Tad Wilson, Dustin Brayley, Philip Drennen, Ryan Dunn, Aaron Lavigne will also be featured in the cast.
The show features a Tony-nominated score written by
Frank Wildhorn (
Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel),
Jack Murphy (
Swing), and Gregory Boyd (
Jekyll & Hyde). The award-winning creative team consists of two-time Tony nominated scenic designer Kevin Rigdon (
The Grapes Of Wrath); lighting designer Howell Binkley (two-time Tony nominee, including this season's
Jersey Boys); and projection designer Michael Clark (
Jersey Boys).

For the Glory is a unique American musical that brings an essential humanity to America's single most defining conflict. The score deftly weaves elements of popular music, country, gospel, rock and folk music into an emotional web of powerful storytelling," state press notes on the show, which is a revamped version of Wildhorn's
The Civil War, which ran on Broadway in 1999.
