Upper Darby Summer Stage presents sold-out performances of Disney's "The Lion King, Jr." on July 11 to July 13. For those who missed their chance to purchase tickets, there are still excellent seats available for other exciting children's theater productions. In addition, tickets are on sale for the 2018 Mainstage production, "42nd Street," perfect for the whole family.
Performances are at Upper Darby Performing Arts Center, 601 N. Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA., minutes from the Main Line and Center City. Tickets for the children's theater shows are $8-$12 and are $14-$17 for "42nd Street." Tickets may be purchased at udpac.org or by calling the box office at 610.622.1189.
The remaining children's theater shows offer fun entertainment for the entire family and include "Freckleface Strawberry, the Musical" (July 25-27), "A Year with Frog and Toad" (August 1-3) as well as Disney's "Mary Poppins, Jr." (August 7-10). Disney's "The Little Mermaid, Jr." will also open to sold-out crowds (July 18-20).
Theater lovers of all ages will enjoy the Mainstage production "42nd Street," a family musical featuring a showcase of Broadway-style tap dancing numbers. Evening performances are on July 27 and 28 and August 3 and 4 with a matinee on, August 4.
The Upper Darby Performing Arts Center and Upper Darby Summer Stage are jointly sponsored by Upper Darby Township Mayor and Council and the Upper Darby School District Board of School Directors through the Department of Recreation and Leisure Services.

Summer Stage offers programs for students beginning at age 10 in the Theater Bugs program and has participants up to age 28 in the Mainstage productions.
