The Delaware County Symphony will perform a special Chamber Ballet concert featuring the ever popular Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns on Sunday April 7 at 3:00 pm . The fun focused ballet was composed for audiences of all ages and it specifically offers an exciting and entertaining pathway for children to experience ballet for the first time. Camille Saint-Saëns delightful masterpiece will be performed by dancers from the Academy of International Ballet (AIB) with new choreography by Co-Artistic Directors Denis Gronostaysky and Anastasia Babayeva. The program continues with a World Premiere performance of Through a Glass, Darkly composed by DCS Artist In Residence Jennifer Nicole Campbell and choreographed by AIB.
The concert will conclude with Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, a set of four tango compositions written by Ástor Piazzolla which gives an impression of the four seasons in Buenos Aires.
Concert tickets at the door are $15 or $12 for seniors. Children under age 12 (one child per paying adult) at regular price are admitted free. The concert will be in the Meagher Theatre of the Thomas A. Bruder, Jr. Life Center at Neumann University , One Neumann Drive, Aston, PA ( ¼ mile west of Concord Rd. and Rt. 452).
