Bristol Riverside Theatre Presents BRT Broadway Collection Starting August 15

Bristol Riverside Theatre concludes its Summer Musicale series on a high note with BRT Broadway Collection, an evening of hit songs from Broadway's favorite musicals such as Oliver, My Fair Lady, and Wicked. Running August 15-August 25, the show features BRT favorite David Edwards, as well as local talent Lauren Cupples, Kristine Fraelich, Jessica Gruver, and Sean Thompson. A production with fabulous performers, a red-hot band, and the sounds of Broadway's best showstoppers, BRT Broadway Collection will have audiences singing and dancing in aisles.

Performances are Thursday, August 15 at 7:30PM, Friday, August 16 and 23 at 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 17 at 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 18 and 25 at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 21 and Thursday, August 22 at 2:00 PM, and Saturday, August 24 at 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM. LAUREN CUPPLES appeared in BRT's The Pirates of Penzance. Cupples' past roles include Maria in The Sound of Music, Johanna in Sweeney Todd,Emma Fairfax in Dr. Dolittle, and Cinderella in Into the Woods.

David Edwards was last seen at BRT as Froggy in The Foreigner. His Broadway credits include Andrew Lloyd-Webber's By Jeeves and The Rothschilds. Edwards appeared in the First National Tour of The Producers, the Off-Broadway production of The Fantasticks, and recently starred in the critically acclaimed revival of Room Service. His film and TV credits include Belly, The Fantasticks: Try to Remember, Meshuggah-Nuns TV Special, The Good Wife, and the 2011 Comedy Awards.

Kristine Fraelich recently appeared in Flash of Time at the KimMel Center as part of PIFA. Her other credits include Diana in Next to Normal, Dot/Marie Sunday in the Park with George, Nurse Betty Gow in Babycase, all at Arden Theater Company, Eva Peron in Evita at Walnut Street Theater, and Ellen inMiss Saigon at Lenape Performing Arts Center. Fraelich made her Broadway debut in Frank Wildhorn's The Civil War and portrayed the Narrator in the First National Tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

JESSICA GRUVER was last seen at BRT in The Pirates of Penzance. Recent theater credits include Candide at Arden Theatre Company, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance with The Savoy Company, Anne in A Little Night Music with Fever Dream Repertory, and Annie, Jekyll & Hyde and The Wizard of Oz, all with the Media Theatre.

Sean Thompson has performed in shows ranging from grand musical theatre (Artie in Sunset Boulevard ) to Shakespeare (Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing) to contemporary comedy and intimate cabaret. He made his New York City debut playing the lead in a workshop and reading process of the taut, five-person contemporary drama Miller's Girl with off-Broadway's Monsterpiece Theatre Collective. Recently, Thompson made his television debut when he sang on PBS as part of a broadcast awards ceremony held at San Francisco's famed Castro Theatre. He will return to San Francisco in the fall to star in a production of Rodgers and Hart's I Married an Angel.

Since 1986, BRT has brought consistently acclaimed professional theatre to Bucks County and maintained a long-term commitment to finding and developing new plays. The theatre is the recipient of over 68 Barrymore Award nominations for Excellence in Theatre, given annually by the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. In addition to its mainstage productions, the theatre serves as a cultural hub for the community, with such programs as children's theatre, community concerts and exhibitions of local visual arts.
