Broadway comes to Bristol this summer at Bristol Riverside Theatre's annual three-concert Summer Musicale Series.

Nostalgia is in the air with Up, Up and Away on June 20-June 30 as audiences time travel back to the 1970's when mile was $1.57 a gallon, bread was 28 cents a loaf, and Carly Simon and Neil Young topped the charts. This program relives the genius-studded decade of soul, disco and classic rock with memorable favorites such as You're So Vain, Roll Over Beethoven and Ain't No Sunshine.

The summer program continues with Ol' Man River on July 18-July 28 starring the smooth-voice baritone Keith Spencer paying homage to African American leading men and the Broadway shows that made them famous. The tribute includes songs from Show Boat, Man of La Mancha, and Jelly's Last Jam.

The Summer Musicale series concludes with the BRT Broadway Collection on August 15-August 25, an evening of hit songs from favorite Broadway musicals Oliver, My Fair Lady, Wicked and more. Fabulous performers, a red-hot band and pulsating rhythms will have audiences snapping their fingers and dancing in the aisles.
