Rachel Camp is one of Philadelphia's leading musical theatre stars. The Theatre Horizon favorite will take to the Norristown stage this spring for AN EVENING WITH Rachel Camp, an irresistible autobiographical cabaret, running for a limited engagement, May 9 through the 12, 2019. Single tickets are currently on sale.
"Theatre Horizon is as close to a theatrical home as I can imagine in my life," said Camp. "The values that I hold dearest an artist - community engagement, professionalism, and and heart-first art-making - I learned with the creative teams at Theatre Horizon. It is not an understatement to say that I owe so much of my evolution as an artist and as a person to the company. I haven't quite wrapped my mind around the opportunity to offer my first one-woman concert at this theater that is so special to me. It's an unbelievable honor that they trust me with their space."
Ms. Camp, a Barrymore award-winner, first started working at Horizon right out of high school when she was cast as Sally in YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. Since then, she has been featured on the Theatre Horizon stage in numerous productions, including INTO THE WOODS, LOBBY HERO, A NEW BRAIN, and others. Her one-woman show will curate a celebration of Broadway show tunes, folk, pop, and rock music that takes audiences on a sublime and autobiographical journey, from heartbreaks and milestones, new performance genres and new hair colors, new values and new self identification.
Tickets to AN EVENING WITH Rachel Camp are currently on sale at theatrehorizon.org, or by calling 610-283-2230.
