The Arden Theatre Company will extend the run of William Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM through April 15, 2017. The show was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, April 9th. Three 10am student performances and four public performances have been added.

The Arden's production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM has been hailed by critics as, "delightful," "fun," and "done right!" Managing Director Amy Murphy says, "The Arden is known for its accessible approach to Shakespeare and we're thrilled to be able to share this show with even more student audiences through our added student performances, and audiences of all ages through our added public performances. This show has connected with younger audiences particularly, who enjoy the show's subject matter, young love, and the vitality of the music."

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM is Shakespeare's most beloved comedy. In it, an enchanted forest becomes the perfect setting for the follies and foibles of fairies, humans and amateur actors putting on a play. The Arden is known for accessible Shakespeare, and this new and vibrant interpretation, stacked with Philadelphia's brightest young talent, promises to engage and delight all ages.
