Applications are now available for the 2008 Pittsburgh CLO Summer Internship Program. The Summer Internship Program runs approximately 10 weeks beginning in mid-May to early August, depending upon the internship being applied for, and affords students 18 years of age and older the opportunity to work one-on-one with musical theater industry professionals.
Internships are available in the following areas: Cabaret Theater, Choreography, Company Management, Costume Coordination, Development, Education & Outreach, Special Events/Administration, Hair Design, Lighting Design, Musical Direction, Production Management, Property Coordination, Public Relations/Marketing, Sound Design, Stage Direction, Stage Management, Video Production and Web Design.
By working behind-the-scenes on Pittsburgh CLO's 2008 Summer Season, interns will receive professional training and invaluable hands-on experience in both musical theater and non-profit administration. Running June 3 through August 17 at the Benedum Center, CLO's 2008 Summer Season includes dynamic productions of
The Color Purple, Peter Pan, Mame, Smokey Joe's Café, Annie Get Your Gun and
West Side Story.
Established in 1973 and funded through the generosity of the CLO Guild, the CLO Internship program provides students with a weekly honorarium to cover expenses and the opportunity for college credit, but more importantly, the chance to pursue their artistic interests professionally.
For an application, call Barbara Hall at (412) 281-2234 or visit
