Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Offers Inspired 2009-2010 Season

The Annenberg Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Penn Presents/Dance Celebration 09/10 Season includes many great dance, theater and music performances. Currently students can get $10 tickets to all performances through the Ben's Tix Program. (Ticket sale runs Sept. 17-19)

Says the official press release on the season: "The 09/10 season is packed with performances you won't want to miss! Pay tribute to the Bard with Shakespeare's Globe Theatre of London in Love's Labour's Lost, and Rick Miller's hilarious MacHomer - a Simpsons meets Shakespeare version of Macbeth. Ring in St. Patrick's Day with the spirtied jigs and reels of Natalie MacMaster and celebrate the women of jazz with Jane Monheit and Dee Dee Bridgewater. Be amazed a the action-packed extreme dancing of STREB and versatile fusion styles performed by Bad Boys of Dance, straight from TV's So You Think You Can Dance."

The Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts at Penn is a center for cultural and intellectual engagement in the Philadelphia region. They present and host a diverse program of music, theatre, dance, education and outreach for adult, student and children's audiences. Dance Celebration is presented by Dance Affiliates and PENN PRESENTS.  Subscriptions to The Annenberg Center’s PENN PRESENTS and DANCE CELEBRATION 2009-2010 season are now on sale. Prices range from $51 to $266, with a choice of 3 to 7 show packages.
