Annenberg Center Presents Philadelphia Children's Festival  ImageAnnenberg Center Live presents the best in contemporary children's entertainment for its 33rd annual Philadelphia Children's Festival, May 17 through 19. Top professional artists from Philadelphia and beyond will showcase dance, theatre, music, magic, spoken word, and more over the three days of family-friendly festivities that will close the Annenberg Center's 2017-18 season.

Professional artists and ensembles include Pilobolus @ Play, Enchantment Theatre Company, jazz and world music artist Oran Etkin's Timbalooloo, The Mayhem Poets, the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts/Give & Take Jugglers, Opera Philadelphia's Hip H'opera T-VOCE Program, Rennie Harris RHAW, illusionist Jason Bishop, and singer/songwriter Sonia De Los Santos.

In addition to staged performances, on all three days the outdoor PlazaMania encompasses a host of free, hands-on activities from arts partners across the city. On Saturday, May 19, PlazaMania will expand to include face painting, balloon creations, performers, food trucks, and a special guest appearance by perennial favorite, the Phillie Phanatic! PlazaMania will be open 10:30 AM-1 PM Thursday, May 17 and Friday, May 18, and 10 AM-3 PM on Saturday, May 19.

PlazaMania partners and performers vary by day and will include Arden Theatre Company, Barnes Foundation, Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, The Clay Studio, DJ Scott, Enchantment Theatre Company, Fabric Workshop and Museum, Fleisher Art Memorial, Franklin Institute, FringeArts, Joe Tayoun Drummers, Koresh Dance Company, New Jersey Renaissance Faire, Penn Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Shelly Buttons, Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse, Stacey's Face Painting, and Stimulus Children's Theatre Company.

Tickets to all performances are on sale now at AnnenbergCenter.org or 215.898.3900. Prices vary by show and include most PlazaMania activities. (Additional charge for face painting, balloon creations and food.)
