The Stephen Sondheim-James Lapine musical Into the Woods explodes on the tiny Heritage Center stage in July.

The Actors' NET of Bucks County is "pulling out all the stops to bring this delightful Show, which intertwines several beloved classic fairy tales, to life," according to NET Artistic Director Cheryl Doyle, who directs the July 9 - 25 run. "We have a cast of some of the region's finest musical theatre performers to dazzle our audiences."

James Banar of Newtown stars as the Baker, opposite Cathy Liebars of Langhorne as his wife, along with Susan Fowler of Newtown as the Witch and Jack Bathke of Robbinsville, NJ as the Narrator. The show also costars Tess Ammerman of Arneytown, NJ as Cinderella, Cheryl Mazzarini of Philadelphia as Little Red Riding Hood, Michael Patrick Gearty of Langhorne as Jack (of and the Beanstalk fame), Vicky Czarnik of Hopewell, NJ as Jack's Mother, James Petro of Hamilton, NJ as Cinderella's Prince, John Bergeron of Morrisville as Rapunzel's Prince and Sarah Webster of Morrisville as Rapunzel.

Featured performers include Erica Silver, Jaci D'Ulisse, Kate Skelly, Eric Wishnie, Jack Petzko, Christopher J. Guell, Isabelle Elden and Michelle Johnson. Pat Masterson of Mount Airy, NJ is musical director, with special choreography by Dani Tucci-Juraga. Kelly Allen of Arneytown, NJ stage manages.

"As this is considered by many theatre lovers to be one of Sondheim's most hummable scores, I find myself having my breath taken away by our incredibly marvelous singers - and this is during the rehearsal stage, no less," Ms. Doyle said. "At least a dozen of our performers star regularly in shows on stages in Philadelphia and throughout Bucks and Mercer Counties. I am simply in awe of this cast!"

Produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International, the show's music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim and the book was written by James Lapine. Cheryl Doyle is also the set designer and costumer. Lighting design is by Jack Bathke. Sound design is by Corey Stradling.

Into the Woods performs weekends July 9 - 25 at the Heritage Center, 635 N. Delmorr Avenue (Route 32), Morrisville, PA - near the Calhoun Street Bridge. Regular show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Due to demand, The NET has added two Thursday night performances at 8 p.m. on July 15 and 22, and a special Saturday matinee on July 24 at 2 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors (over 62) and $10 for children age 12 and under.
