Time for acting classes again! Coming up, the next session of Fun with Acting, a beginner-intermediate acting class for kids ages 7-12 at the Walking Fish Theatre. Fun with Acting starts Saturday, March 21 and goes until Saturday, April 25, 2009 (see exact dates below) at the Walking Fish Theatre, 2509 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125. Time is 11:00am-12:15pm. Cost is $50 for 5 weeks.

Taught by theatre veteran and teacher Jackie Jacobson, Fun with Acting will fire up the imagination and boost self-expression in a fun group atmosphere. Using improvisation, storytelling and theatre games students will learn how to use their bodies and voices to transform into a character, how to create dramatic conflict and reach creative and entertaining solutions. This session will end with a short presentation for parents and friends.

"This class was so great," says parent of a student. "My daughter has developed a lot of confidence in her own creations, in just this short time."

The Walking Fish Theatre is the new performance/workshop space for the community of Fishtown/Kensington. The theatre opened its doors for the first time ever August 31, 2008 for the Philly Fringe Festival. Upcoming offerings at The Walking Fish include Fresh Fish 2.0-a 10-minute Play Festival with 8 different 10-minute plays every night! Running April 1-19, 2009.
