This year's headline entertainer for the 6th Annual Black and White Party is Prince Poppycock, an American singer, songwriter, and performer who came to national attention when he competed on America's Got Talent.
Prince Poppycock will meet and great all VIP guests and sponsors after his performance. The event is May 5, 6 p.m. and is held at the Zembo Center, Harrisburg, Pa.
"We had to start ticket sales early we've had so much demand for information on this event," says Charles King, lead organizer which benefits individuals in the region living with HIV/AIDS. To date, the all-volunteer fundraiser has raised $90,000.
This year's evening also includes: Silent and Live Auctions, Raffle Prizes, food from regional restaurants 6-8 p.m., free and convenient parking, two entertainment stages, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Mark DeRose & The Way Home, 9:30 p.m. Main Stage Show "Love Boat" & Prince Poppycock. The evening closes with Dancing with DJ Ryan Walter.
2012 recipients of funds raised from The Black and White Party are York-based Family First Health, a recipient of Black and White funds since the event's 2007 inception, and Harrisburg-based Alder Health Services, formerly AIDS Community Alliance. Alder Health Services CEO Phil Goropoulos was 2011 recipient of the Black and White John Folby Award in recognition of his work.
