Act II Playhouse announces a new improv class for teens in grades 9-12. The cost is $150 for a semester. The class meets eight Tuesdays, Feb. 7th through April 3rd with no class on Tuesday, Feb. 14th. from 4:30 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. at the Act II Playhouse Cafe and Stage.

The class's final performance will be Tuesday April 3 at 6 p.m.

There is a maximum enrollment of 12 students.

This class focuses on the basics of improvisation, exploring techniques used by the comedic geniuses in Saturday Night Live and Funny or Die. This fun and physical class teaches students to think on their feet and to listen and respond in the moment. Teens will learn acting technique through theater games and exercises focused on body, voice, and imagination. Students learn how to create scenes, say “yes and...” to improv partners, and expand their imaginations. The class concludes with a showcase performance on Act II's stage for family and friends (following the final class).
