Matthew Cassidy's script in progress, A Patch of Green, enjoys its first public staged reading. A gritty fable set in war-torn Ireland in the 1950s (during "the troubles"), A Patch of Green depicts life in an abandoned church, where a street-wise young pickpocket and a trio of misfits try to survive as a family. The abandoned church is Catholic. Outside, a Protestant gang is determined to burn it down, occupants and all.

Mr. Cassidy's work explodes with profanity, sadism and sexual situations. The NET is rating it "R." No children will be admitted. Script by Matthew Cassidy of Morrisville. Directed by NET Co-Founder and General Manager Joe Doyle of Morrisville. Cast includes: Bryan Enright of Blackwood, NJ; Ethan Daniel Levy of Plainsboro, NJ; Amanda Graf of Morrisville; Brian Jason Kelly of Doylestown; Elizabeth Anne Newberry of Roebling, NJ; John Helmke of Hamilton, NJ; Joe Doyle of Morrisville; William H. Schnakenberg IV of Levittown and Alex and Zach Zimmerman of Levittown.
