A New National Resource For Playwrights Unveiled Image

On November 12, 2019 award-winning playwright and dramaturg Jacqueline Goldfinger released a new monthly resource for playwrights: PAGE BY PAGE.

Page By Page is a monthly e-blast which provides a balance of creative and professional information that writers need in order to succeed as a playwright.

She says:

"In my 20s and early 30s, I spent too many late nights looking through outdated library books and websites - searching for how to submit or how to work with the current trends in playwriting. I wasted time and money on misguided submissions and outdated approaches. As I grew as a writer and experienced professional success, I decided that I wanted to provide a resource that I wish I had access to as a playwright. A resource that is honest about both the art and industry of theatre. A resource that is extremely affordable and accessible and easy to use. A resource for Playwrights by Playwrights. So I created PAGE BY PAGE, an inexpensive e-blast with a slew of updated resources delivered directly to your inbox each month for only $8. I hope that folx around the country will join us to make 2019 the Year of the Playwright!"

Every issue of Page By Page will include: a section with four writing prompts (one for each week of the month), submission deadlines and professional advice from accomplished playwrights, as well as an inspirational section focused on great working being created around the country, why it is important and how they can use it to strengthen their writing. She'll also include a tidbit of theater history, and one additional resource or important news about what is happening in theatre right now that they should know about (with applicable links). You can read the first issue for free here: FREE ISSUE

In addition, Subscribers have the option to join a private Facebook Community where they can receive access to additional resources, ask questions, and post about their own activities (readings, etc.) so that they can meet and support one another in person.
