The blues return to Northeast PA this Saturday (Jan. 27th), as the Lehigh River Blues Jam brings regional artists together at the Jetport Ballroom of the Days Inn, Allentown.
The third winter as a winter event, the day/night festival promises nonstop music with some new faces. Headlining is the Wilkes-Barre power trio Dustin Douglas & the Electric Gentlemen. The band is currently set to release a new album this spring.
Another first-time group is Philadelphia's Dukes of Destiny. Back for another go-round will be two mainstays of the Lehigh Valley blues scene, the James Supra Band and the Little Red Rooster Blues Band.
This year, the festival also unites for another cause, as donations will be taken for Midnight Shift frontman Mike Mettalia, who recently was diagnosed with ALS.
The music begins at 3 pm, and continues through ten, with the after party, led by the Sheila-Mark Hamza Band.
