Green Day’s smash hit, award-winning Broadway musical American Idiot comes to Crown Theatre in 2018.

Winner of two Tony Awards® and the 2010 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Show Album, Green Day’s American Idiot tells the story of three lifelong friends each searching for meaning in a post 9/11 era, discovering love, loss, drugs, sex and rock and roll along the way.

Developed by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong (lyrics) and Tony Award® winner Michael Mayer (Book and lyrics), it features every song from Green Day’s iconic album American Idiot as well as several songs from their follow up release, 21st Century Breakdown.

This high-octane rock musical showcases an all-Australian cast including the phenomenally talented and Helpmann Award nominee, Phoebe Panaretos, and special guest star, rock legend Phil Jamieson* (Grinspoon).
