Award-winning actor and comedian Kim Gyngell makes his West Australian stage debut for Perth Theatre Company in Caryl Churchill’s A Number.
The play begins with a discovery. Bernard is not unique. He is one of many. Thirty years ago his father, Salter, made the decision to clone him. What begins as a search for answers turns into a nightmare when the other clones arrive and Salter is forced to face the truth.
An outrageous experiment in nature versus nurture, A Number was first performed at the Royal Court Theatre in London and received the Evening Standard Award for Best New Play.
The West Australian premiere gives rise to an exciting, new pairing of actors, Kim Gyngell (The Comedy Company - Network 10, Underbelly, Love My Way) and 2008 WAAPA graduate Brent Hill (The Producers, Rock of Ages - 2011 Green Room Award for Best Male Artist in a Leading Role).
Ages: Not recommended for under 15 years.
