Step Up To The Stage At Splashfest

Will you hear the call? The City of Nedlands is on the hunt for young people to perform at the annual Splashfest on March 11.

It's a chance for singers, dancers, jugglers, magicians and more to make a splash at Swanbourne Reserve in a spritz of outdoor summer fun - whatever your talent, Splashfest is an opportunity to showcase it in front of an audience.

Nedlands Mayor Hipkins said the event was always popular with youth, children and families, creating a dynamic hub of music, recreation, performance and community.

"Splashfest is really a celebration like no other and we're keen for people to not only come along but also participate with whatever entertainment they have to offer to help with the summer vibe," he said.

"We know there are plenty of talented people out there but they often don't have a platform to share it with a wider audience, so Splashfest is a prime opportunity for up-and-coming performers."

Splashfest is a day of free, water-filled family fun with slides, rides, games, stalls and other activities, embracing WA's extended summer climate.

There will also be a chillout marquee where people can take a break from the wet'n'wild fun to sit, relax and enjoy the cavalcade of entertainment on offer.

"Splashfest is a fun day in the sun with plenty of water to keep cool and the City of Nedlands wants to add to the atmosphere by providing a diverse and eclectic range of performers to watch and listen to," Mayor Hipkins said.
