FRINGE WORLD Festival 2015 - Simon Taylor: Funny
Presented by Australian Cabaret Enterprises
WA PREMIERE
29 Jan to 3 Feb 2015 @ 6pm
Circus Theatre, Perth Cultural Centre
After getting his start on the Melbourne comedy scene, Simon Taylor became a writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno within two years of his stand-up career. Once that show came to an end he signed on to write for Shaun Micallef's ABC show, Mad as Hell. Simon spends most of his time touring his stand-up in places diverse as New York, Albuquerque & Cambodia.
Simon's style is often described as intelligent comedy. It draws from his travels to places as diverse as India, Italy and the deep south of the USA. He has shared cars with Hollywood stars and gotten lost in the gritty ghettos of New Orleans. He has eaten at five star hotels in Singapore and sipped bitter rice beer in isolated villages of India. He has spoken at world-class science conferences and sung gospel songs with homeless people in Texas.
This stand-up show comes from a world of Simon's most interesting experiences. See him while he's in town before he jets off again for more adventures.
