In a first for Open House Perth, the highly anticipated Fremantle Fringe Event will throw open its doors for one day only on 1 October between 11am - 3pm. Some of Fremantle's most incredible homes and heritage buildings will give the public unprecedented access to view and experience their outstanding architecture and design - all completely free!
Eight destinations within Fremantle will open their doors this weekend, expanding on the immensely popular Open House Perth featuring later this year on November 11 and 12. As Perth continues to grow as the design capital for outstanding architecture, Creative Director of Open House Perth Carly Barrett expressed her delight in showcasing some of Fremantle's most iconic homes and heritage buildings: "Our state is at the forefront of residential innovation through the work of some great local architects, and Open House Perth is proud to promote both these projects and their designers. Fremantle is home to many of Australia's best heritage buildings and modern architecture. Not only is Fremantle the home of several of Australia's best heritage buildings, it is also home to a number of Australia's leading design studios including Kerry Hill Architects, Space Agency, CODA Studio and many others. The opportunity to celebrate Fremantle's rich history and modern contemporary architecture is so exciting!"
