Crude, Rude, Punk Hijinx, Michael Abercromby's critically acclaimed FRONT is set to storm the stage at Fringe World and Summer Nights Michael Abercromby is once again calling Perth home. Launching SLATE a new theatre collective supporting emerging and established performing artists in the Perth theatre scene, the company's first production will be Abercromby's critically acclaimed work FRONT, a WA Premiere, and playing at the State Theatre Centre of Western Australia from the 18th - 26th January, as part of Fringe World Festival and Summer Nights.
Start a band, get famous, get screwed, get wasted, get fired, get petty, get knocked out on television. Get everything you ever wanted. FRONT explores the blurred definition of success in today's music industry. Based on Abercromby's experience as a musician in Perth, the play follows "local band" Rough Cut Punt during their rapid rise to fame. With hilarious songs and boisterous characters, FRONT is a window into the often unseen drama of rehearsal rooms, green rooms, and studios, in an industry that promises intoxicating opportunities for those willing to pay the cost.Videos
