The Westport Country Playhouse Videos

Westport Country Playhouse's Family Festivities Series will present the classic musical, "The Wizard of Oz," on Sunday, March 17. The show is produced by Vital Theatre Company.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the recent Off-Broadway hit, 'The Understudy,' a backstage comedy about a Hollywood action star rehearsing for a role on Broadway amid tensions with his understudy.  The cast includes Eric Bryant, Connecticut Critics Circle Award winner; Brett Dalton of ABC's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'; and Andrea Syglowski, award-winning actress. Running August 14 through September 1, the comedy is written by Theresa Rebeck, creator of NBC's show business drama, 'Smash,' and directed by David Kennedy, Westport Country Playhouse associate artistic director.

Woody Sez: The Life and Music of Woody Guthrie, a summer '17 off-Broadway hit, is currently playing a limited engagement at Westport Country Playhouse, January 9 - 20. The joyful, touching, and tumultuous tale of 'America's greatest folk poet' is told using Guthrie's own words and over two dozen of his indelible songs, including 'This Land Is Your Land,' 'Union Maid,' 'Deportees,' and 'This Train Is Bound for Glory.'

As previously announced, Westport Country Playhouse's production of Lerner & Loewe's 'Camelot,' starring Tony Award winner Robert Sean Leonard as King Arthur and Britney Coleman as Queen Guenevere, has extended by an extra week through Saturday, November 5. Playing through August 28: Westport Country Playhouse stages Kate Baldwin and Lewis Cleale in 'I Do! I Do!,' a joyful and touching musical about a couple's 50-year marriage, written by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, directed by Susan H. Schulman.
