McCarter Theatre Center is presenting the Tony Award-winning, Motown-infused musical, Dreamgirls, in co-production with Goodspeed Musicals. In an all-new video, go behind the scenes of the costumes for the production.

Based upon Roger Q. Mason’s Kilroys Listed play Lavender Men, this short film is a searing portrait of body dysmorphia, food addiction, and queer loneliness in the age of digital intimacy. 

American Repertory Theater presents Gloria: A Life, presented in association with the McCarter Theatre Center and by special arrangement with Daryl Roth. Written by Tony Award nominee Emily Mann (Having Our Say, Still Life) and directed by Tony Award winner Paulus (Jagged Little Pill, The White Card), performances of the Off-Broadway hit begin Friday January 24, 2020 at the Loeb Drama Center in Cambridge, MA. The production opens officially on Thursday, January 30, 2020. Due to one week of added performances, it will now close Saturday, March 1, 2020.

Andy Grotelueschen is no stranger to profanity, as he gets to perform the now iconic 'Jeff Sums It Up' in Broadway's Tootsie every night at the Marquis Theatre. Now he's taking his character's trademark irreverence to the next level... by recording a solo album? Legendary children's musician Laurie Berkner brings the fun to making change with her new single, 'A Dollar.'  An instant Berkner classic, this song will have kids and parents bopping along as Laurie breaks down all the ways to change a dollar. It'll help kids get a jump-start on their math and logic, and the tune is so catchy that parents might even find themselves humming it at the cash register. With Laurie to help out, math just makes, well, 'cents'!

Now through May25, the original Tony and Grammy winning star of Jersey Boys on stage and screen, John Lloyd Young, sings the Four Seasons and other giants of the 50s, 60s and 70s at Feinstein's/54 Below!

McCarter Theatre presents Sleeping Beauty Wakes, a new musical featuring a book by Rachel Sheinkin (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), and a score by composer Brendan Milburn and lyricist Valerie Vigoda, both of the acclaimed trio GrooveLily. The production, which runs through June 5, is directed by Rebecca Taichman, who delighted McCarter audiences with her 2009 production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. The show had its opening night Friday, May 6. Following the McCarter run, the production will move to La Jolla Playhouse. Check out a sneak peek of the show below!
