Flat Rock Playhouse's presentation of CHASING RAINBOWS: THE ROAD TO OZ world premiere chronicles the life of a young Judy Garland. This exciting new musical explores her extraordinary journey from vaudeville to Hollywood to stardom which culminated in one of the most popular films of all time, THE WIZARD OF OZ. The production runs now through December 19, 2015 at Flat Rock Playhouse, the State Theatre of North Carolina, nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Amas Musical Theatre and The Countess of Storyville, present a developmental workshop of the new musical by Martin Silvestri (music), Joel Higgins (lyrics) and R.M. Cohen (book). This epic story of lust, love, mystery and murder will begin performances on February 12, 2014 at The Peter J. Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) and continue through February 15. Lynne Taylor-Corbett directs.
