'Submissions Only,' the popular web series which aired its second season on BroadwayWorld.com to much acclaim, and major growth, has released the trailer for its highly anticipated third season.

Today in 2000, Aida opened at the Palace Theatre, where it ran for 1852 performances. Aida is a musical with music by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls, and David Henry Hwang. Aida was nominated for five Tony Awards and won four Tony Awards in 2000, including Best Musical Score and Best Performance by a Leading Actress. Aida was also named by Time Magazine in 2000 as one of the top ten theatre productions of the year. The First National tour was nominated for nine National Broadway Theatre awards (now 'Touring Broadway Awards') and won five awards, including Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

BroadwayWorld.com is very excited to announce that we will be returning to Joe's Pub at the Public Theater in 2014, kicking off a year-long celebration of the community and our 10th anniversary with regularly scheduled concerts, live streams and special events in a BIG way. Wendy Williams is set to make her Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning revival of Chicago, joining the long-running musical in the role of Cook County Jail's 'keeper of the keys'- Matron 'Mama' Morton. Her 7-week run will begin on June 25th and wrap up on August 11. Currently, actress and Sirius/XM radio host Christine Pedi takes on the iconic role where she joins Chicago cast members Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly,Adam Pascal as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and R. Happy Birthday Norbert Leo Butz! Butz made his Broadway debut as Adam Pascal's replacement as Roger Davis in Rent in 1996. Additional Broadway credits include Thou Shalt Not (Camille Raquin, 2001-2002), for which he received a Tony Award nomination; Wicked (the original Fiyero, 2003) and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Freddy) for which he received the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical, a Drama League Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award. His Off-Broadway credits include The Last Five Years (Jamie), Songs for a New World (Lead Male 2), Saved (Fred), and Juno and the Paycock (Jerry Devine). Most recently, Butz originated the role of Carl Hanratty in the new musical Catch Me If You Can. For this role he won his second Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Musical and his second Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He most recently starred in Dead Accounts opposite Katie Holmes.

While on the road, Memphis cast members Jill Morrison and Christopher Gurr recorded the classic favorite Christmas song, 'Santa Baby,' with Jill singing lead vocals and Christopher playing ukelele and adding backup vocals. This video includes footage from Memphis, Christmas pictures, and more set to this new song.

On May 15, the first National Tour of the Tony Award-Winning MEMPHIS arrives in Dallas to stay until May 27. The company just released a promotional video in preparation for the upcoming performances in Texas, which features Bryan Fenkart, Felicia Boswell, and an amazing ensemble of singers and dancers.

Mary Kay Yezerski-Bondoc, of the MEMPHIS wig department, recently did an eight-step video about how to properly take curlers out of a wig and style it. Additionally, this video gives a glimpse at the astounding number of wigs used in the show.
