On this day in 2013, the acclaimed musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's Matilda opened at Broadway's Shubert Theatre.

Preorders are available now for this double vinyl set of the Grammy nominated original Broadway cast recording.

Today we rewind to the opening night of Matilda on Broadway in 2012. The musical, which came straight from its Olivier Award-winning run in London, starred Bertie Carvel, Gabriel Ebert, Lesli Margherita, and Lauren Ward with Oona Laurence, Sophia Gennusa, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro in the title role. Matilda would go on the run for 1554 performances at the Shubert Theatre.

Performing with Ethan will be Kerstin Anderson (My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music), Micaela Diamond (The Cher Show) and Sophia Gennusa (Matilda the Musical, Dr. Zhivago).
