Two-time GRAMMY-nominated, Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning composer Bear McCreary has released his epic album The Singularity digitally via Sparks & Shadows Records. The Singularity is an ambitious concept album, graphic novel, and concert experience featuring a legendary lineup of rock talent. 

On Wednesday, May 8, Image Comics will release the ambitious graphic novel companion to the album, created by McCreary with Mat Groom and produced by Black Market Narrative. The multiformat event begins with the premiere of the first single from the album, “Type III” (feat. Rufus Wainwright), available everywhere now.

Gibson, the instrument brand, has announced the launch of the Gibson Band, which features a revolving collective of Gibson artists. The Gibson Band is launching the first single, “Deconstruction,” which was co-written by Serj Tankian of System of a Down and Cesar Gueikian, CEO of Gibson, and features Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath on guitar.

Written and produced entirely by Belousova & Ostinelli, A Mighty Heart Beating Like A Drum is an epic tale. The duo also enlisted a few friends to help bring their story to life, including Serj Tankian of System of a Down, DL of Bad Wolves, Sophia James, and Marcin.

THE HU reveal animated music video for 'Sell The World' and have set 'Warrior Souls' US Fall Tour with supporting acts Blind Channel and NERV.

THE HU will bring their warrior anthems and galvanizing live performance to audiences along the West Coast later this fall. The group announced a headlining run of dates following the completion of their co-headlining U.S. “Psycho Thunder” tour with Asking Alexandria from August 30 until October 8.

The co-headlining jaunt—billed as the “PSYCHO THUNDER” tour with special guests BAD WOLVES and ZERO 9:36—begins August 30 in San Antonio, TX and includes stops at some of the states’ biggest rock festivals including Aftershock (The HU only) and Rocklahoma and Louder Than Life (The HU and Asking Alexandria only).

With a vocal range over four octaves, CSUN alumnus Serj Tankian is considered one of the greatest vocalists in Rock Metal history and is best known for fronting the popular band System Of A Down. The songwriter, poet, painter, producer, and political activist returns to The Soraya on Sat, Apr 29 at 8pm to perform vocals on his new suite of compositions, “Invocations”— music that calls on spirits to co-inspire or inter-inspire.  

Not only is Tankian overseeing the performance, and singing on several of the pieces, he has also assembled a team of incredible vocalists: renowned tenor Brian Thorsett, world music singer Azam Ali, Francesca Genco and Charles Elliot. The vocalists will be backed by the impressive CSUN Symphony Orchestra, ethnic instrumentalists, and a full choir.

Serj Tankian, the prolific artist, activist, best known for System Of A Down, is releasing a new 5 song EP titled Perplex Cities via Serjical Strike. Perplex Cities is his second EP in the last couple of years, following his 2021 release of the hard-hitting Elasticity EP. As an artist who has brought forth diverse types of music with each release.

The Soraya continues to rollout news of its 2022-23 season following the recent announcement of its Premium Classical Series lineup.  Now, tickets for the Signature Series are available to Members only through July 11, and will be available to the general public on July 12. 

Serj Tankian is set to release a new folk/classical song titled “Amber” sung in his native Armenian language this Wednesday, June 8, to audiences worldwide. It was written with Tankian’s cultural homeland in mind. The song title “Amber” (pronounced ‘ahm-be'r’) actually means ‘clouds’ in Armenian and is allegorical in context
