Let's Broadway Showcase Series has been running in New York City for the past seven years, making it one of the longest running cabarets in the city. Produced and directed by Tatiana Birenbaum and Ashley Ryan, Let's Broadway is a monthly show that counts with the presence of amazing performers singing songs from the most diverse themes.

Last night Stella Katherine Cole, Luke Hawkins, Jason Graae, Pedro Coppeti, Ashley Ryan and Lee Roy Reams performed in Scott Siegel’s 'Hit Songs From Broadway’s Great Revivals.'

FEINSTEIN’S/54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents Matt Copley in Broadway Does Punk on Friday, May 27, 2022. Matt Copley is the creator and star of the viral TikTok series “Broadway Does Punk.” His popular video series features songs from The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, The Greatest Showman, Mean Girls, Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, and more. 

The Town Hall presented Broadway By The Year: The New Wave on Monday, March 21 at 8pm. Created, written, hosted and directed by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, the event launched Broadway By The Year's 21st landmark season at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

The Town Hall presented Broadway By The Year: Volume 1: Broadway Musicals of 2000-2004 on Monday, February 24 at 8pm. Created, written, hosted and directed by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, the evening launched Broadway By The Year©'s 20th landmark season at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

The Firehouse Theatre will present  The Wizard of Oz family concert event December 5-22, 2019. With dreams of escaping her mundane life, a cyclone hits and Dorothy and Toto are transported to the Land of Oz. Somewhere over the rainbow, Dorothy and Toto meet Glinda, the Munchkins, the Wicked Witch of the West, and three new friends, The Scarecrow, The Tinman, and The Lion. Along the way towards the Emerald City, the friends encounter a haunted forest, jitterbugs, and flying monkeys. In the end, the audience is reminded that a?oeThere's No Place Like Home,a?? especially during the holidays. 

On Thursday night, director Aaron Washington took us to church. Nunsense Jamboree, the third in the series, combined the comedic influences of Laugh-In, silly jokes, a puppet nun, and crafty innuendos, five outstanding voices with an adorable set created by Paul Berge at Carrollwood Cultural Center. MAS Theatre captured the authentic charm of a country-western jamboree a?" like the kind you'd see set up at the fairgrounds. All that was missing was a hand raised, waving in praise and meat on a stick. I also had flashbacks of Sunday sermons with my grandma, with much better music provided by Mary Jo Hahn, Rusty Wirt, Wink Warren, and Valerie Frege.

Laura Marie (Artist/Co-Owner at Atomic Rock Tattoo in Geneseo, NY) was crowned the season 12 winner of Paramount Network's Ink Master. The thrilling finale took place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas in front of a crowd of contestants, fans, and Ink Master alumni.

We've seen the nation's best tattooers compete for the title of Ink Master, but the best artists hold the worst grudges.

Seldom does a reviewer get to see 'behind the curtain,' the director's enthusiastic vision of the set carefully sketched in a notepad long before it becomes an actual intricate tiered wooden platform or the director painstakingly folding pieces of paper together that would eventually be black lit painted, lighted and turned into the faces of the animals that would be called the jungle home. On Friday, the painted paper puppets that I saw months ago from director Drew Eberhard came to reality on top of the heads of the actors. Besides Jekyll and Hyde, the set of The Jungle Book Musical at Carrollwood Player is one of my favorites to date.
