BroadwayCon 2020 will host an exclusive screening of the premiere episode of The CW's new series KATY KEENE, followed by a panel about the show's creation with cast and producers. The screening and panel will take place Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 3 p.m. and is open to all BroadwayCon attendees. The show features characters who are artists, performers, and designers, capturing the same enthusiasm and excitement about their dreams that Broadway fans and creators themselves experience.

ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke announced today that the network has picked up “The Brides,” a new drama from executive producer/writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Riverdale,” “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television to pilot.  Maggie Kiley (“American Horror Story,” “Riverdale,” upcoming “Katy Keene”) is set to direct.

One of the joys of reviewing shows is when I am assigned to critique a production at one of our local schools. It is an opportunity for me to watch actors perform simply for the love of theatre. The National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts (NHFA) has announced the creation of the Latinx Story ARC Writer's Room program. Thanks to a $100,000 grant from The ArcFord Foundation, NHFA will be developing a writing program that will help create a strong television and film Latinx writer pipeline. a?oeNHFA is uniquely equipped to bring together the best and the brightest of next generation Latino writers,a?? said Noel Greene, whose ArcFord Foundation has made this program possible. Riverdale executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa announced at today's Comic-Con 2019(R) panel that the season four premiere will feature a special tribute to Luke Perry. Perry's longtime friend and former costar Shannen Doherty will guest star in a special role in the episode, which will air Wednesday, October 9, at 8/7c on The CW. Entitled 'Chapter Fifty-Eight: In Memoriam,' the season premiere will reflect Luke Perry's enduring legacy and the indelible imprint his character, Fred Andrews, had on Riverdale.
