On Saturday, September 28th at 6:00 pm, the Boston-based Tutti Music Collective and the New York-based Modus Operandi Orchestra (MOO) will join forces for a captivating evening of music featuring an orchestra of 40 and a 35-member chorus at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center's Recital Hall.

Opera in the Pines will present the Maine premiere of Robert Ward's The Crucible in an immersive theater experience that summons the audience as the jury of the infamous Salem Witch Trials of 1692.

Celebrating its 50th season, Artpark will present  one of the world's favorite operas, Giacomo Puccini's TOSCA, in the Artpark Mainstage Theater on Friday, July 12 at 7:00PM & Sunday, July 14 2:00PM in 2024. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 15 at 10AM. Reserved seats begin at $39.

Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen leads the San Francisco Symphony in the first three Orchestral Series programs of the 2023–24 season, September 29–October 1, October 6 & 7, and October 12–14, at Davies Symphony Hall.

On Saturday evening, May 6, 2023, at the Liederkranz, the establishment of Marshall Opera, New York City’s newest opera company, was announced.

On Wednesday, November 30th from 6:30-8:00 pm, The Strings of Modus Operandi Orchestra (MOO) will perform in their Merkin Hall debut.

Enjoy an evening of great American operatic works by composers including Carlisle Floyd, Ricky Ian Gordon, Douglas Moore, Tobias Picker, Robert Ward, and Iain Bell. The concert will feature performances by extraordinary artists from the New York City Opera, including Tatev Baroyan, Lisa Chavez, Mark Delavan, Kristin Sampson, and Victor Starsky.

Opera Santa Barbara (OSB) celebrates its 25thanniversary on Saturday evening January 26, 2019, with a GALA CONCERT and spectacular party honoring Marilyn Gilbert who co-founded the company with the late Nathan Rundlett. The New York City Opera, under the leadership of General Director Michael Capasso, announces three new productions in addition to its previously announced June 2019 premiere of Iain Bell and Mark Campbell's opera, STONEWALL. City Opera's 2018-19 season will open Monday, October 22 at (le) Poisson Rouge with a production of Astor Piazzolla's “tango operita” MARIA de BUENOS AIRES. The fourth installment in the company's popular Ópera en Español series, this co-production with Atlanta Opera features soprano Catalina Cuervo, the world's foremost interpreter of the title role. The intimate production, conducted by Jorge Parodi and directed by Atlanta Opera General director Tomer Zvulun, has been praised by Opera News for its “undeniable authenticity.”

Offered to the New York public free-of-charge, this presentation is a perfect introduction to opera for newcomers of any age.

Jim Schaeffer, the Artistic & General Director of the Center for Contemporary Opera since October 2008 announces his retirement, effective June 30, 2018.   A search for a new General Director will begin immediately.
