The Barn Theatre has  announced casting for the world premiere of Room 13, a brand-new play by Duncan Abel and Rachel Wagstaff, inspired by the ghost stories of M.R. James, set in the modern day.

The full cast has been announced for the 2024/25 tour of Birdsong. The epic First World War story of love and loss returns to the stage this Autumn in a brand-new production marking the 30th anniversary of Sebastian Faulks’s international best-selling novel.

Actor Max Bowden, who will star as Jack Firebrace in the forthcoming tour of Sebastian Faulks’s epic First World War story of love and loss Birdsong, and folk musician James Findlay, have recorded their version of the traditional folk song I Would That All The Wars They Were Over with the release out now, commemorating the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme which began on 1 July 1916. All aboard for a new rendering of The Girl on the Train at Salisbury Playhouse, with clever background projection to lift a journey that doesn’t quite make its connection.
