M.A.D.D. Rhythms announced the return of the Chicago Tap Summit this October, featuring the world premiere of 'To Love You All Ways' by Andrew Carr on October 5 at 7:30 p.m., along with additional events.

STG's signature dance program, DANCE This celebrates the incredible milestone of 20 years with a program that brings together guest artists from New York and Mexico to share the stage with Seattle's diverse talent of dancers and choreographers. The celebration features scores of performers and invites them to share their culture through the art of dance with a public performance on Friday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m. at The Paramount Theatre.  

The Metropolitan Room presents the NYC premiere of 'TAPTASTIC!', the tap dance cabaret starring Brian Davis (After Midnight Norwegian Escape, Showtime at the Apollo) and featuring Pamela Yasutake (Broadway's Shuffle Along, Chloe Arnold's Syncopated Ladies) on April 24 at 9:30PM.

Earlier today, Actors' Equity Association presented Shuffle Along Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed with the tenth annual ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. Presented by Equity's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA) the ACCA Award is the only industry accolade of its kind to honor the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical.

A re-imagined version of the 1921 musical SHUFFLE ALONG, one of the earliest stage hits starring, written and directed by African-Americans, opened on April 28 on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre. The musical nabbed a total of 10 Tony nominations this year, including nods for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, Best Featured Actor and Actress, Best Scenic Design, Best Costume Design, Best Lighting Design, Best Direction, Best Choreography and Best Orchestrations. The Music Box Theatre box office (239 West 45th Street) opens Monday, February 1st at 10am for tickets to SHUFFLE ALONG Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, a new production that presents both the 1921 musical itself, and additionally details the events that catalyzed the songwriting team of Noble Sissle and Eubie Blake, and librettists F.E. Miller and Aubrey Lyles to create this ground-breaking work. SHUFFLE ALONG will star six-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald, Tony Award-winners Brian Stokes Mitchell and Billy Porter, and Tony Award-nominees Brandon Victor Dixon and Joshua Henry.
