Broadway veteran Carrie St. Louis is Starlight’s Elle Woods.  She is super in the role.  St. Louis is cute and bubbly, but no dumb bunny with a huge mezzo-soprano voice that dominates a theater with eight thousand seats.  She is also a determined and skilled dancer.

 Carrie St. Louis will star as Elle Woods in the Kansas City Starlight Production of LEGALLY BLONDE. The production will be Directed and Choreographed by Nikki Snelson, who originated the role of Brooke Wyndham in the Original Broadway production of Legally Blonde. St. Louis most recently starred in the off-Broadway hit TITANIQUE, as well as starring roles in Kinky Boots, Wicked, and Rock of Ages on Broadway. 

After a social media search and call-back auditions, Starlight has found the perfect pups to star in the upcoming production of Legally Blonde The Musical, playing at the historic theatre July 7 - 13.

The magic of musical theatre took center stage this past weekend, where students from more than 40 schools and performing arts studios spanning Florida to Guam competed in the 2023 Musical Theatre Competitions of America (MTCA). Over 200 awards were presented to winning individual and group performances across multiple categories.

Starlight recently completed auditions for the upcoming production of Legally Blonde The Musical, playing at the historic theatre July 7 - 13. But producers still need to fill one role and are looking locally to cast that furry friend. Bruiser Woods is a Chihuahua or Chihuahua mix and lead Elle Woods' canine companion.

MTCA is the nation's most extensive competitive and educational festival for students and directors that pairs the best of Educational Theatre with Broadway's brightest stars.

Vanguard University's department of theatre arts will present the musical adaptation of the 1940's Christmas movie classic, Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn. The production is presented in the Lyceum Theater on the Vanguard University campus, beginning November 18th, 2022 and running three weekends through December 11th.
