On October 8th, 2022, New York City Children's Theater will kick off its 26th season with the world premiere of the new musical The Adventures of Honey and Leon!

The Lucille Lortel Theatre is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2nd Annual NYC Public High School Playwriting Fellowship, created as an opportunity for aspiring young writers citywide to get unparalleled access to professional theater artists for mentoring. The Fellows and Finalists of the program represent every borough of NYC, as well as a D79 school.

The Flea Theater announced today SERIALS @ The Flea: ONLINE!, a spinoff of the organization's popular late-night episodic show will feature five all-new plays specifically created for digital viewing. In a show that Bistro Awards called 'hilarious,' this 'stellar performer' shows how she grew into the daring woman that she is today.

The winners of the First Annual Berkshire Theatre Awards have been announced. Seventeen arts journalists voted on 120 nominees in 25 categories chosen from artists in the 75 live theatre productions mounted in Berkshire County and adjacent areas between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016.

In the last twelve months, more than 300,000 people attended a live theatre production in or around Berkshire County. With 75 stage productions employing hundreds of professionals, making theatre is an important cog in the area's cultural economy. In fact, many consider the region a hot spot for Broadway bound shows, and a popular summer destination for theatre-goers from around the nation.
